Finding Forever

Over the past week I have been listening to the Common Finding Forever and I gotta say its a fine piece of work.

The album is short coming in under an hour at 49 minutes. However, each song is a quality song. I need to get the real authentic copy tomorrow when it comes out. We all must, support good music right?!?

Another thing which is bizarre but nice, is the fact that he is getting crazy burn on the radio. On thursday i believe flex was just playing pratically the whole album, you know with the bombs and him yelling over it. Thought it was strange but nice at the same time. Go FLEX Go FLEX!!!!

Go check common out in MIA at the Rock The Bell Concert or in NYC at the Zune Concert. He is set for both but thats impossible unless there is a twin Common!!! Hmmmm

Wild N OUt

Saw a few wild n outs. The one with young buck was saddening as he was stunned by the lines his competitors had for him

Here is one when they got Ye West. He felt the pain but came with the heat to put everyone down.

Here is another one with fabolous. Destroys them so effortlessly.

SuPeR HeRoEs

Hey waddup guys its been a min. I am not on this consistently but I do what I can do.

I jus saw the new iron man trailer and the movie looks like the next transformer for 08 in terms of blockbuster, big hit, summer madness. I could not argue with there casting as mr downing, basically fits the profile of mr. Tony starks to a tee in real life. Rich and an alcholic like his character.

Heres the comic con trailer it may get taken down by youtube.

I also saw the new batman teaser trailer for dark knight. It was nothing crazy or special but good non the less. Seems like 08 summer is going to left to the vigilantes.

Caught You Red Handed

I knew it, the girl from the infamous Akon in Trinidad concert/club show incident. Is no sweet angel even though she was raised in the church. Her father is supposee to be a pastor in Trinidad.

The press was giving Akon so much trouble about dancing with this underage girl(14yo) when she is found in another venue which is 18+ doing similar activites at the Akon concert.

Heres the youtube to the little lady.

Those of you who are lost, do a quick google search for "Akon and trini girl." I'm too lazy to do all the work.

KRS-ONE SON RIP

It was brung to my attention that MC KRS-One suffer a lose in his family as his son was found dead. The reason of death was stated to be a suicide. My heart goes out to the KRS family.

Brooklyn Stand Up

Hey hey hey!!! its fat albert....sike jus buggin.

O man last nite was one of the craziest nights in brooklyn new mutha effin york!!! Old skool hip hop at its best. Mc Lyte, Doug E. Fresh and the get fresh crew, the storyteller Slick Rick, and MC Hammer.

Everyone was hype just off the names alone till ppl saw hammers name. That was just weird but you know what he did a good job, but lost the crowd when he went into his new set which was some hyphy music. That shit don't fly over here in brooklyn. He forgot he wasn't in oakland I guess. Men and women children boys and girls even pets if they were there had dat serious wtf face on when he dropped dat stlye of music.

Mc lyte was crazy her and her raspy voice was in full efx. She had the crowd on her side it was hot like a pan of frying grease. No joke!!! She was doing the damn thing. She did the classic songs and bust out a couple of freestlyes and acapellas for the people. Like she was soo loved she didn't have to rap. She pulledf a random fan from the crowd and said "you seem like you know the song" and have the beat come on for dangerous I think and let the "random fan" rock the mic. That's one run on sentence right there. Too lazy.

After that some dj I forget name came on. He killed it for a min rockin str8 bk joints mostly jayz and then he went into the hot 97 paylist which the girls of all ages loved. But the guys was booin upset yellin this is not 106 and park. It was a sight.

Next up was the human beat box aka mr american idol aka doug mutha luvin e strictly and I mean strictly fresh. Dude rocked the mic crazy like he was hungry on some hannbal. He proceeded to take it back to the old days before hip hop was alive and played tv themes, old soul music, disco, and everything else related to rap and hip hop.

Shortly thereafter he took the set to another level and introduce his buddy, americas most notorious green card holder slick one eye bandit tell ya mother a story rick. Iiight I dragged dat one out maybe. But rick came on and did his thing he was not energtic as doug but good non the less. I think his chains were too heavy for him and restricted his movement. Slick rick seemed to be a guest of mr. Fresh more so than a feature on the concert. He only did two songs ladi and bedtime story. I think I can't remember, I just know he didn't do mona lisa or venus which are big hits along with others. He was in and out like the burger spot.

Doug was solo again did a lil more of his things played the word games had ppl say "you eat cereal with a fork." Then he proceeded to bring out this group known as square off. The group was composed of his son and his friends. They did one song. People were highly dissapointed in the group and how fresh went from main headliner to a hype man for five mins. Not gonna front the beat was hot, but the rappers weren't. No real style, sound very generic, and no charisma. He did not get the rap gene from his dad that one thing is certain.

Doug took over and did a few more songs, a lil freestlye and messing around talking on the mic till they cut him off. Dude went from stereo to mono to no audio. It was kinda funny reminded me of consequence at the hip hop festival.

The show was great, glad I went.

You guys can follow the link to find out about other shows at Wingate Park in Brooklyn, NY.

PS
I wrote this blog a while ago just never posted it til today so this dats back to Monday the 9th.

No pics as of now, but you never know!!!

GRAND THEFT AUTO MEETS BROOKLYN

Carjacker Killed in Hail of Bullets in Brooklyn

By CARA BUCKLEY
Published: July 8, 2007

A Brooklyn man was killed in a drawn-out gunfight with the police yesterday after squeezing a lifetime of mayhem into less than 20 minutes, carjacking and crashing two cars, firing at an apartment door and a carful of strangers, and then finally at officers who closed in after he squirmed out of a driver’s window, the police said.

Carjacking and Fatal Shooting After the police shot him on a busy Crown Heights street, the man, Victor Gordon, 23, got up, and began again to shoot before the police fired a final barrage. He was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital, the police said, and as night fell, they counted at least 122 shell casings strewn along Park Place near Albany Avenue in Crown Heights, where the shootout took place.

Despite all the bullets, only one other person was injured, a man who was hit in the arm when Mr. Gordon shot at a car he had tried to carjack, the police said.

The precise motive of the wild shooting and carjacking spree was not immediately known, but the police speculated that it might have been prompted by an argument that Mr. Gordon had Friday night with his companion, and the mother of his child.

The mayhem started near the southeast corner of Prospect Park shortly before 2 p.m., where the police said

Mr. Gordon carjacked a Dodge Charger on St. Pauls Place — around the corner from where he lived — by forcing the driver out with a 9 millimeter handgun.

He drove to an apartment building at 1030 President Street, just east of the park, where his companion’s parents live. He went into the building and, getting no answer, fired two shots at their door.

J. R. Jones, 47, who lives on the first floor, said his 12-year-old daughter had been outside when the gunman arrived. “She said he was drunk,” Mr. Jones said. “She said he fell down, pointed a gun at everyone on the block and then got up and got into the car.”

Then, the police said, Mr. Gordon got into the Charger and sped off, winding his way northeast through a maze of streets before crashing into an empty storefront at 1647 Pacific Street in Crown Heights. He got out of the car, and, waving his gun, tried to carjack a Nissan Maxima that had three people inside, but the driver sped off. Infuriated, Mr. Gordon fired shots at the Maxima but missed, instead hitting the driver of a Jeep Cherokee parked nearby. The driver, a 46-year-old man, was hit in the left arm and taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was in stable condition last night.

Mr. Gordon then took off on foot, walking three blocks to Albany Avenue and Pacific Street, where he forced the driver of a silver Lincoln Town Car, a livery car, out at gunpoint, hopped into the car and began driving south on Albany Avenue. He made it three blocks before slamming into a lamppost at Park Place, hitting it with such force that it crushed the car’s front end and sent the lamppost’s arm crashing to the ground.

It is a busy intersection, with a coin laundry, a bodega, a Chinese restaurant, Lucky Chueng Kitchen and the Albany Houses project, and people began drifting over to check on the driver and look at the car, which was nearly wrapped around the lamppost.

Ricky Williams, 46, who lives nearby, heard the boom of the impact and went outside. The driver was sitting behind the wheel, dazed, Mr. Williams said. The stench of oil and gas was filling the air, and Mr. Williams said, the driver, barely visible behind the car’s crumpled front end, began groping around. A paramedic who happened to be nearby approached the car, but the driver aimed a gun at him and the paramedic retreated fast, his arms covering his face, Mr. Williams said.

Then, the driver, visibly groggy, tried to get out of the passenger side of the car, first head first, then foot first, before finally wriggling out one arm and foot at a time, Mr. Williams said. The moment the driver hit the ground, police cars arrived, lights flashing, sirens screaming. The police opened their car doors, and crouched behind them, ordering the driver to drop his gun, Mr. Williams said. The driver did not, witnesses said, and instead began firing at the officers.

“That’s when all hell broke loose,” said Mr. Williams.

The police immediately began firing back, and the driver returned their shots, all the while weaving in and out of parked cars and slowly making his way up the south side of Park Place toward Troy Avenue as bystanders, including children, dove for cover and shattered glass flew.

It was not immediately clear how many officers were firing. Mr. William guessed he heard about 60 shots, and that the shootout lasted over two minutes. Then, the driver was hit in the chest, and slumped to the sidewalk, behind the cars, he said. For about 20 seconds, everything was silent, according to another witness, Sue Ann Peace, 42. Mr. Williams said he saw the driver staggering back up to his feet, and began firing again, as officers fired back. Witnesses guessed they heard another 30 or 40 shots, and that the second shootout lasted two minutes.

By that time, officers were streaming up Park Place from both Albany Avenue and Troy Avenue, cornering the driver. He was shot again several times, and fell, this time for good. Mr. Williams said he saw four or five officers jump on top of the driver’s body, but that he did not move again. It was about 2:10 p.m., witnesses said, less than twenty minutes after Mr. Gordon took the first car. Mr. Gordon, who lived at 1834 Caton Avenue, just south of Prospect Park, was paroled last June after serving 17 months in prison for criminal possession of weapon, according to records from the state’s Department of Corrections.

Sandra Brown, 59, an aunt of Mr. Gordon, who was sitting outside her nephew’s apartment last night with relatives and friends, said that Mr. Gordon, a house painter, lived in the apartment with his mother, two sisters and a brother. She said Mr. Gordon’s companion, the mother of their 3-year-old child, had been there the previous night and that the couple had argued. “I know they’re always fighting,” said Ms. Brown.

On President Street, several hours after Mr. Gordon came looking for his companion, the woman’s mother began to search herself.

“I’m trying to find her,” her mother, who did not give her name, said last night. “I don’t know where she is.”

Technological

Hey guys technology is the bomb I don't know how I lived without a cellphone or internet before the the past ten or so years. Mobile devices are crack to me. I love my computers but I find myself using them less and less as time goes on and using my cellphone majority of the time. The basic functions of a computer in terms of everyday use are for the most part covered in today's cellphones pdas and other mobile devices. I found my self using computers majority of the time to either to spin records (yes serato look it up), music, anime or to use the pro tools.

Hmmmm the tools is on a reg basis. But anyway the main function of internet and blogs and all that cool stuff has been all just placed on to the blackberry. Since I am mostly on the go I look at all things when I am bored. Even the rare times when I watch tv.

I just find it very suprising to me and a lot of others. The digital world is becoming more digital as we speak. If that makes since. I mean look you got the iphone which just came out and people are going crazy for it like peanuts had a drought. ( I know crazyness).

The lyrics are funny and raw. Did I say raw again. Yes I did, three times to be exact. This song needs to catch on. Imma bang it hard. Lol only if I had a stable club or radio gig. But the spradic gigs will get this at least if the crowd is correct.

Peep the song

Sneakers and Girls

Why does it seem when it comes to sneakers girls have the better choices than men?

All the time Nike and Jordan Brand along with other companies give girls and kids(BIG KIDS) the best colorways. It is very dissappointing and saddening at the sametime.

I love sneakers and want them all. I know guys can buy girl kics if they really want the colorway and all but, it becomes unfair for the guys who wear a 12 and up( like me) in mens and want a sneaker which is only available in womens, when the biggest women size is a 13 and you need at least a 13.5.

=understandable (womens only)
= not understandable should be unisex

= mens and kids, but very similar to the girls dunk above...release date on this bad boy is 09/2007

Thanks to NIKE ID for giving guys the chance to spice up the sneaker game a little.

Anime (Japanese Animation)

I dont know but for the longest after the era of batman adventures, superman, teenage mutant turtles, and transformers cartoons came to an end. America cartoons except for a few left me wanting more. Anime filled that big black hole of cartoons for me. Dragon Ball Z was the gateway anime which would lead me to a world filled with awe.

There are crazy amounts of anime's out there. But i sadly only watch a few at a time. Personal favs. are ghost in the shell, trinity blood, claymore, dragon ball z, death note, bleach, ergo proxy, and naruto. I know I am missing a few. But the ones I watch right now all have one thing in common and that is action. No soap opera here just swords flying, gun slinging, shoot now ask questions later action.

Ergo Proxy= a man is an outcast of society, he know he doesnt belong and goes out to find who he really is and what he is suppose to do. As he sets out on his journey he is accompanied by an robot humanoid, and a young lady by the name Real.

Online Videos by Veoh.com

Trinity Blood= is an anime about the church and vampires. The world is broken up into monster and humans who govern over the world. Both are in a constant struggle for power and alliances with humans and vampires. One set of vampires want total control and devise plans to gain that control, but yet a organization implemented by the church organization and the vampires organization try and combat against it.

Online Videos by Veoh.com

Claymore= is another whihc is similar to the rest. It takes place in the middle ages. The world has its good (humans) and bad (monsters who eat humans) and the other ( women who are half monster and hlf human) known as claymores. They work in an organization to protect the humans against the monsters for a cost. But in due time the organization becomes internally corrupt and missuse its resources for evil instead of good. Some of the claymore realizes whats going on and are decided to be terminated, but they wont go out without a fight.

Online Videos by Veoh.com

Bleach= is about a kid who becomes a death god and just saves the world over and over again. it takes places on earth and in the realm of the dead on a regular bases battling monster and death gods, while saving the souls of the good.

Online Videos by Veoh.com

Devil May Cry= an anime based on the video game. Straight action ask questions seconds and kill first.

Online Videos by Veoh.com

Naruto= an anime about ninjas and a kids quest to become hokage(ninja president) and save his friend from evil. Very action and comedy pack. Sometimes its lacking as it becomes slow pace but its good overall.

Online Videos by Veoh.com

I provided the 1st episode of each of these animes, but if you want to see the rest of the series, then hit up Youtube, Veoh, or Mininova.org and do a search and you'll find the rest of the series.

more than meets the eye

Hey guys what's up just got back from the movies. Saw one hell of a movie known as the transformers. Great movie from beginning to end. Action packed and simple nothing crazy it gets a nine out of ten. There were little thing which bothered me. But I am a die hard fan to this type of stuff. The movie is wow and has a wonderful set up for a sequel as there is a trilogy to be made and the sequel is already in pre production. The movie had the big guns literally. Steven speilberg, Michael Bay, and george lucas special effects team (ILM productions).

I was put down a little by the fact that soundwave was not in the movie and how they did jazz. But my pal bumble bee came through. For the longest I thought it was said tyrese was going to do the voice of the little b but I was mistaken. Another voice wise which was nice is they try and use the original actors voice from the cartoon back in the eighties and they have the guy from family matters eddie winslow as the voice of jazz.

I thought the movie was going to be a miss since there were more humans than robots but it wasn't the case.

That kid Shai is set for life with this movie. His acting career looks extra promising like tom hanks level he has the new indiana jones movie coming out next year and then the new transformers in 09.

Jada pinkett smith can be a possible autobot as we have arcee (I believe that's how its spelled)

I am soo geeked I am about to purchase a prime transformer helmet. Only problem is I don't know if it will fit. I have kinda a big melon.

I'm out peace signing off 8800
