Brooklyn Stand Up

Hey hey hey!!! its fat albert....sike jus buggin.

O man last nite was one of the craziest nights in brooklyn new mutha effin york!!! Old skool hip hop at its best. Mc Lyte, Doug E. Fresh and the get fresh crew, the storyteller Slick Rick, and MC Hammer.

Everyone was hype just off the names alone till ppl saw hammers name. That was just weird but you know what he did a good job, but lost the crowd when he went into his new set which was some hyphy music. That shit don't fly over here in brooklyn. He forgot he wasn't in oakland I guess. Men and women children boys and girls even pets if they were there had dat serious wtf face on when he dropped dat stlye of music.

Mc lyte was crazy her and her raspy voice was in full efx. She had the crowd on her side it was hot like a pan of frying grease. No joke!!! She was doing the damn thing. She did the classic songs and bust out a couple of freestlyes and acapellas for the people. Like she was soo loved she didn't have to rap. She pulledf a random fan from the crowd and said "you seem like you know the song" and have the beat come on for dangerous I think and let the "random fan" rock the mic. That's one run on sentence right there. Too lazy.

After that some dj I forget name came on. He killed it for a min rockin str8 bk joints mostly jayz and then he went into the hot 97 paylist which the girls of all ages loved. But the guys was booin upset yellin this is not 106 and park. It was a sight.

Next up was the human beat box aka mr american idol aka doug mutha luvin e strictly and I mean strictly fresh. Dude rocked the mic crazy like he was hungry on some hannbal. He proceeded to take it back to the old days before hip hop was alive and played tv themes, old soul music, disco, and everything else related to rap and hip hop.

Shortly thereafter he took the set to another level and introduce his buddy, americas most notorious green card holder slick one eye bandit tell ya mother a story rick. Iiight I dragged dat one out maybe. But rick came on and did his thing he was not energtic as doug but good non the less. I think his chains were too heavy for him and restricted his movement. Slick rick seemed to be a guest of mr. Fresh more so than a feature on the concert. He only did two songs ladi and bedtime story. I think I can't remember, I just know he didn't do mona lisa or venus which are big hits along with others. He was in and out like the burger spot.

Doug was solo again did a lil more of his things played the word games had ppl say "you eat cereal with a fork." Then he proceeded to bring out this group known as square off. The group was composed of his son and his friends. They did one song. People were highly dissapointed in the group and how fresh went from main headliner to a hype man for five mins. Not gonna front the beat was hot, but the rappers weren't. No real style, sound very generic, and no charisma. He did not get the rap gene from his dad that one thing is certain.

Doug took over and did a few more songs, a lil freestlye and messing around talking on the mic till they cut him off. Dude went from stereo to mono to no audio. It was kinda funny reminded me of consequence at the hip hop festival.

The show was great, glad I went.
